Back by popular demand, Lockeland Strings’ 2024 ECHO performances will showcase local artists accompanied by string quintet, alongside performances of new contemporary classical pieces from local composers. With performances from Kacey Musgraves to Lucie Silvas, Lockeland Strings has become a highly-anticipated ECHO event.

• BOBBY CHASE (Violin and Viola musician has played and recorded with various artists including Dave Rawlings, Gillian Welch, Kacey Musgraves, Roy "Futureman" Wooten, Victor Wooten, Sam Bush, Matthew Perryman Jones, Caitlyn Smith, Jill Andrews, Humming House, Night Beds, among others)

• VALLEY JAMES (Inspired by the haunting allure of film noir heroines and the transformative odyssey of heroes, her sound is reminiscent of luminaries like Roy Orbison, Chris Isaak, and Patsy Cline, Valley James brings a contemporary twist that is distinctly her own)

• LYDIA LUCE (Founder of Lockeland Strings, Luce is an in-demand session musician playing viola/violin for legends like Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson and hip-hop superstar Eminem)

• NICOLE NEELY (Has collaborated with Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, Toni Braxton, John Legend, Alicia Keys, Ms. Lauryn Hill, and more)

• OMAR VELASCO (An accomplished singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who draws inspiration from a range of artists, including Stevie Wonder, Milton Nascimento, Mercedes Sosa and folk luminaries like Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, and Silvio Rodriguez)
